I started volunteering at a local facility while in college, where I first discovered my interest in the human services field. This interest was solidified during a break after my first semester, when I volunteered at a summer camp for young children. Finding the experience deeply rewarding, I enjoyed the challenge of helping the children in my care learn new skills and grow in confidence. This hands-on experience led me to major in Human Services for my Associate Degree and later pursue a Bachelor's in Psychology, ultimately directing my career path toward therapy.
