Andrii Tiurenkov brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the financial sector to his current role as Director of Debt Investments at Agents for Impact GmbH, a Frankfurt-based impact investing firm. His passion lies in the responsible financing of financial institutions in frontier and emerging markets, aligning strongly with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting financial inclusion, microfinance, and entrepreneurship.
Andrii's core competencies encompass the origination of debt investments, the inception and management of investment processes from the ground up. He is deeply motivated by the mission of effecting positive social and environmental changes through innovative and sustainable financial solutions. With a wealth of diverse experiences across various countries and regions, as well as engagement with different financial institutions and clients, he brings a rich perspective to the team.
In his current role, Andrii leads the debt investment activities at Agents for Impact, where he oversees the entire lifecycle of impact debt transactions. This includes origination, due diligence, structuring, closing, and continuous monitoring. He adeptly oversees a portfolio valued at approximately EUR 180 million, covering diverse sectors like microfinance, SME finance, and rural finance, among others. Furthermore, Andrii plays a pivotal role in incorporating elements of social performance management into the investment process, ensuring a strong alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Principles for Responsible Investment.
Andrii leverages his expertise and certifications in risk management, holding credentials such as Certified Expert in Risk Management (CERM), Certified Expert in SME Finance (CESME) from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR), Financial Risk and Regulation (FRR) from GARP. This knowledge allows him to effectively identify, explain, mitigate, and manage both financial and non-financial risks within the portfolio.
