I manage along with the maintenance control duty engineers and the duty officer the Emirates Airlines fleet whilst the aircraft are away from homebase.
I endeavor to ensure an aircraft safe on time departure whilst making sure all company and regulatory authority requirements are complied with.
If an aircraft encounters a technical delay or an AOG at an outstation I will promptly and efficiently communicate this event with our operations and management teams. I will liaise with various departments within Emirates Airlines and if required vendors, OEM`s and third party handling agents to establish an effective recovery plan with achievable timelines.
In the absence of the manager maintenance control I will ensure all the required senior management reports are compiled and distributed and will conduct the MCC morning meeting.
In addition to the engineering aircraft type training I have also completed root cause analysis, aircraft recovery and selection skills training.
I also ensure all MCC engineering procedures are up to date and complied with and if required make the relevant amendments in the engineering procedures manual. In addition to this I am also a member of the A350 entry to service team.
I was an outstation duty engineer responsible for Cathay Pacific and customer aircraft whilst they transited through London Heathrow Airport.
I was an aircraft technician carrying out both A and B checks on British Airways Aircraft.
I was an engineering apprentice learning my trade on various British Airways fleet types whilst obtaining my EASA A, B and C basic engineering license.
I currently hold a GCAA B1 and C license type rated on both Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft and I am currently undergoing Airbus A350 type training.
