I was an Assistant Supervisor Outbound for a new client in the implementation phase. My daily responsibilities included managing a team of approximately 30 people, resolving their issues, and motivating them to improve performance. Additionally, I assisted in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to the system. I was actively involved in enhancing the system by promptly reporting errors and suggesting potential solutions. I also collaborated with Inbound, VAS, and Inventory departments. I was working with the SAP system and various Microsoft programs.
My duties were to assign work to loaders, prevent delays related to loading trucks, cooperate with other departments of the warehouse to solve problems. I was preparing the necessary data for the Customs department in time for them to prepare the documents.
I was responsible for controlling the PICK-PACK-SHIP process, solving problems of pickers, packers and loaders on my own. I was authorized to train new employees in all positions. I made sure that the shift reached the shift target.
Organization and planning of container shipments by regular intermodal connections from the ports of Gdańsk/Gdynia, organization of FCL container shipments and LCL groupage shipments from/to China by rail; cooperation with port terminals, railway operators, carrying out deliveries: rail, FCL container (delivery/delivery to/from port/railway terminals), FTL full truck load, LTL groupage, contact with the customs office, road subcontractors, foreign agents in China, consolidation warehouses - organization of dismantling of general cargo containers, reloading of goods at customs warehouses, ordering import/export customs clearance/revision/inspection.
