  • I led the International Markets Section which responsibilities lied with i) analyzing Quantitative Tightening approaches by key foreign central banks, ii) analyzing monetary policy decisions by major central banks, iii) analyzing and reporting on financial markets developments in the global fixed income market, foreign exchange markets, equities (both global and euro area) and commodities (energy markets and gold) iv) analyzing the drivers of the developments of the sovereign yield curve of the US, Japan and China to draw up investment proposals for the management of the ECB's foreign reserves and v) foreign exchange related matters including ERMII membership as well as FX interventions more generally
  • I was also in charge of some DG-M cross-divisions workstreams such as the DG-M preparation of Isabel Schnabel’s speaking notes on financial markets developments for the GovC meetings, the preparation of the ECB accounts for DG-M and the daily presentations on financial market developments delivered to Executive Board members and senior management
  • Finally, I was the ECB representative at the ECB FX Contact Group gathering the FX Industry and at one of the sub-structures of the Markets Operations Committee
