AmeriCorps Summer Literacy Corps Members are the drivers of our literacy program. As an AmeriCorps Reading Buddy, you will guide students to becoming confident, capable readers through providing small group reading sessions at a community summer camp.

● Plan and facilitate small group literacy lessons with students using our Reading Buddies curriculum.

● Track attendance and camper performance data.

● Participate in network-wide AmeriCorps meetings.

● Lead, inspire, and instruct assigned students.

● Facilitate literacy assessments and analyze results to appropriately target instruction.

● Complete pre-season (May-June) training and professional development.

● Serve a minimum of 300 service hours (including off-site service, training, and fundraising).

Working alongside robotics technology, stowing and picking items using automated systems, packing orders for customers, and getting a firsthand look at how Amazon is reshaping the future of warehouse work — all while helping ensure customers receive their orders on time.

• Work with robotic systems to receive and store inventory
  • Use robotics technology to locate and pick customer orders
  • Pack customer orders into boxes for shipment
  • Load boxes into trucks for delivery
  • Use scanners to read bar codes on products
  • View prompts on screens and follow directions for tasks
  • Troubleshoot issues with robotic systems as they come up
  • Ensure products meet quality requirements

• Delivered friendly, customer-focused service and resolved customer concerns.
• Operated cash register and processed cash, credit, and check transactions accurately.
• Restocked merchandise, updated pricing, and maintained store inventory.
• Assisted with opening and closing procedures and kept the sales floor organized.
• Supported multiple departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy, as needed.
• Promoted CVS services and loyalty programs to enhance the customer experience.
