Summary
I am a hands-on GCP Cloud Architect who is working as a GCP Partner. My interest in Cloud started during my Master years where I worked on several benchmark projects comparing hyperscale cloud providers. During my studies I also worked as a research assistant and especially worked on Data pipelines and Database Engines. One of my task was about re-writing the SQLite engine to enable stream processing via socket connection. Then, in 2017 I started working at eBay part of their search team and I have played a major role migrating on-prem search workloads to GKE. In 2022 I joined Delivery Hero to support 6 teams (~40 engineers) to re-architect their search workloads where I made significant cost savings (€1.5M /year) by better utilizing GKE workloads and I also migrated their old Helm based Elasticsearch 6 infrastructure to Elasticsearch 8 using K8s Operator. Currently I am working as a Cloud Architect at EPAM supporting a big financial institute for a Billion Euro scale GCP Migration project. I am especially interested in data architectures and databases.
