I joined the project to assist with the operational set-up of the vessel prior to launch. My responsibilities included supporting inspections of the vessel’s fairing and paintwork, and providing daily progress updates on the build and readiness status. I attended and liaised with the shipyard during FATs and HATs for various vessel systems, including all bridge equipment.

During this period, I began compiling the documentation required for the Safety Management System (SMS), including drafting risk assessments and standard operating procedures (SOPs) specific to the vessel. I also implemented bridge checklists and organised equipment manuals to support bridge operations, while assisting in the development of the vessel’s planned maintenance system.

Joined as Second officer, for a crossing doing passage planning and navigation for 2 weeks. Promoted to First officer during the remainder my time onboard, which includes acting as Safety and Medical officer. Including Organising Drills, Training, vessel security and overseeing the LSA and FFA. While in Shipyard, I was liaising with the yard for safety and Security and helping to manage ongoing refit work.

I have undertaken navigational watches and anchor watches. I have undertaken numerus Suez Transits and as 2nd officer I passage planned all trips, as well as keeping the bridge in operational state including all GMDSS equipment onboard. While 3rd officer my duties also included the Servicing and maintenance of all LSA and FFA onboard. I was onboard during multiple refits which included sea trials after major modification works to the vessel and aided in the yearly audits, both internal and external. During Season I have also been helping the deck team, including painting and cleaning and also driving all tenders onboard with guests. The ship conducted Helicopter operations which I was HLO for.

I was tasked with getting the vessels exterior ready for potential viewing with limited help due to the vessel being for sale, which included a large amount of work on the teak decking. There was a lot of general maintenance on deck and throughout the vessel to keep it in good working order. My duties also included checking all LSA and FFA - including annual inspections of all fire extinguishers - as well as watch keeping.

Cadet aboard a Platform Supply vessel, main area of operation around the eastern Scottish coastline and North Sea. My duties onboard consisted of painting, cleaning as well as planned maintenance and assisting the watch keepers on the bridge during watches. I developed knowledge of maintenance of LSA/FFA etc under supervision. The vessel also discharged bulk cargos and container cargo alongside oil rigs.

I joined in Italy during the final period of construction before delivery to the owner. As the lookout on my watch the yacht has sailed world-wide from Europe down through the Suez canal to the West Pacific, visiting many places along the way to Auckland where a warranty refit was completed. While onboard I started working towards my Navigational Watch Rating. I am competent at driving all the tenders onboard which includes two 9 meter Jet ribs, one prop and rudder, 3 z-drive tenders and a14meter twin jet tender, all carried on board the yacht. I also operated the cranes and davits. I was part of the Heli Operations fire team and Fire team two onboard. My daily duties include wash downs and the general upkeep of the yacht.

MY Pumpkin was heavily used by guests in Ibiza. As a solo deckhand on board with a Bosun, duties included doing wash downs and general up keep of the yacht. I was driving the 5meter jet rib with guests. I was doing the late gangway watch at night as security. When entering port my responsibilities included picking up ground lines and securing the bow when going stern to.

I joined Oasis relief deckhand on an Atlantic crossing from St Marten, Caribbean to Cannes, France. My duties on board included helping the OOW on the bridge during the 12-4am watch during the night. During the day I was rinsing down the boat and doing maintenance to the tenders.

I was on Lady Marina as a temporary deckhand during the winter to help out when the crew go onto leave. During my time on board there has been doing a lot of maintenance work including re-painting the anchor shackle markings, wash downs, cleaning lockers, and general day to day operations.
