Finite Element Modeling (FEM) of Re-inforced Concrete Beam
FEM analysis to simulate Re-enforced Concrete member cracking pattern in ABAQUS software. Various material models available in the literature were assigned, to investigate in detail the effects of these empirical relationships on the numerical results. The results realistically demonstrated the evolution from initial tensile cracking to ultimate compressive failure. A parametric study was carried out to reduce computational expanse and achieve acceptable agreement between numerical and experimental results. This FYP involved extensive model analysis, reviewing of numerous research papers, and a dissertation on top of full semester course load.
