Enzyme is an AI company headquartered in Barcelona. Starting this company from the scratch was an adventure with a lot of uncertainty, a lot of challenges and many results:

• Headcount increased to more than 100 consultants advising customers and delivering solutions solving complex business problems
• Satisfactory relationships with over 100 customers in Retail, Banking, Insurance, Education, Entertainment, Food, Automotive, Luxury goods using Data & AI to improve its businesses
• Growth until 10 Mio. € yearly revenue

Maintaining and developing of enduring relationships, partnerships and alliances is essential for a company to accelerate growth:

• Established, initiated and optimized partner development strategies based on company targets, product specifications, market data and budget factors
• Supervised marketing and planning activities to exceed partner sales and margin goals
• Enhanced profitability to achieve partner objectives and drive productivity and growth from concept to implementation

Collagen is a platform to setup and operate intelligent NLP assistants able to communicate with customers, prospects, employees using their preferred channel as Voice, Chatbot, Social Networks and capable to integrate with backend systems as SAP, SalesForce, MS Dynamics. As the product manager I was responsible for:

• Identifying and prioritizing potential products and services offerings to support the your organization’s strategy,
• Formulating the vision for each of these offerings, working with customers to understand their high-level needs,
• Identifying, prioritizing, and allocating minimum business increments (MBIs) for the offerings under development,
• Identifying and managing functional dependencies between offerings,
• Marketing those offerings to their potential customers, monitoring the marketplace to identify future customer needs.

Collagen was implemented to solve conversational situations with employees and customers in banks, eCommerce and insurance companies and received an IBM Beacon Award.

Enzyme had an office in Madrid which operated below the companies expectations. A change was needed to accelerate the performance of this unit:

• Expansion plan developed and executed to grow sales and delivery capacities in Madrid, northern and southern Spain
• Sales and revenue increased by 100% due to market specific marketing and sales campaigns
• Local recruiting efforts permitted team growth of 300%
• Successful local market activities to push brand awareness and recognition

During 10 years a lot of unfinished assets were generated. The challenge consisted in selecting the right assets to build a platform able to generate license revenues:

• Design, launch and convert eSTAR.ai from concept into real transformation from service to product based consulting
• Investigation and aggregation of potential product assets built during 10 years.
• Branding and commercialization of 5 products (Ribosomu, Collagen, Pepermint, Invertasa and Cowin-19)
• Establish team and organization model to develop and commercialize platform and products
• Adhered to social distancing protocols and wore mask or face shield

AI and Cognitive were not new, but were not mainstream. The challenge was to improve the existing service offering adding some AI flavor and gradually convert into an essential part of the service portfolio:

• Design and introduce Artificial Intelligence skills into company's service portfolio, skillset and sales pitch
• Successful positioning as leading provider of NLP and Virtual Assistant solutions.
• More than 20 successful implementations of NLP solutions achieved based on IBM Watson and IBM Discovery
• Establish and consolidate teams around NLP, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, Image and Audio Processing
• Successful partnerships established with IBM, Amazon and Google in Data and AI field

Digital Transformation was the hype, companies already had big investments in technology. Companies asked for advise on what to do to be more digital, but without renewing the complete IT portfolio:

• Design and introduce digital transformation and strategic ITC plans into company'¡s portfolio based on impact, agility and measurable results
• Successful positioning as leading provider of digital transformation and strategic ITC plans in company's market segment
• Advise more than 20 companies successfully on how technology can contribute to corporate transformation and growth
• Companies in Retail, Automotive, Professional Services, Manufacturing achieved their goals following strategic recommendations
• Establish and consolidate teams around strategy consulting and planning, strategy implementation with agile concepts and explicit performance measurement
• Successful partnerships established with leanIX, Signavio, Celonis in Enterprise Architecture and business process optimization field

Enzyme started in 2011 and initially there was nothing than cool ideas and lot of entrepreneurial energy. We learnt fast that we needed some processes, tools and method to be able to send out invoices and to attend payroll at the end of every month:

• Define and establish operating model of newly created consulting company based on agile and lean practices
• Design, implement and deploy core processes for business and service units based on corporate value chain and on lean practices
• Select, design and implement cloud-based support systems to reach reasonable automatization levels and high productivity by design
• Establish reporting procedures and tools to maintain executive committee informed for fast decision taking
