I am a Senior Research Associate and social scientist specializing in sustainability-oriented innovations in agriculture and agri-food systems. I hold a PhD in Agricultural Sciences from Humboldt University of Berlin and an MSc in Agricultural Sciences (Food Security and Natural Resource Management) from the University of Hohenheim, as well as a BSc in Geography and a diploma in Economics from the University of Buea, Cameroon.
My research focuses on agricultural knowledge and innovation systems, the adoption and scaling of sustainable innovations, agricultural advisory and innovation support services, organisational capacity assessment, and transformative learning processes. Working with participatory, inter- and trans-disciplinary approaches—alongside computer-based decision-support tools—I analyze and assess how demand-driven innovations emerge, evolve, and are taken up across diverse agri-food contexts in Europe and Africa.
Over the years, I have contributed extensively to inter- and trans-disciplinary research projects at the EU–AU interface, published widely in peer-reviewed journals, and maintained longstanding affiliations with ZALF and the University of Hohenheim. I also serve on editorial and scientific boards, including the European Seminar on Extension and Education (ESEE), review scholarships for the DAAD, and work as an EU Expert Monitor for multi-stakeholder innovation projects, particularly in the Global South
