My name is Jason Boc, and I am expressing my interest in joining this department as a Police Officer. I have always had an interest in joining law enforcement, and being a Firefighter/EMT for the past years, I feel that I would benefit the department, bringing my work ethic, experience with emergency incidents, commitment to public safety, and passion for serving the community.
I have attended Wesley College in Dover Delaware, earning credits in Law and Justice Studies. Since joining the Delaware Fire Service in 2017, I have been active as a Firefighter with the Dover Fire Department in which I have moved up the ranks to Assistant Fire Chief. Through volunteering with the Dover Fire Department, I was able to obtain my NREMT license, which has led to my current position with the Christiana Fire Company as a Firefighter/EMT. Through working with the Christiana Fire Company, I have worked shift work, learning to manage my time between work, my family, and my daily activities while working odd hours. I have also learned how to handle stressful situations, and adapt to unknown circumstances in day-to-day incidents that are handled.
I feel that I would benefit this department with my experience, work ethic, and commitment to public safety in the community. I look forward to the opportunities of this department, and how I am able to contribute.
