Soprano Kristina Palija was born in 1984 . She got her masters degree at the Faculty of Music at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje at the department of solo singing in the class of professor Vesna Ginovska-Ilkova (prima donna in the Macedonian Opera and Ballet.) As a talented student, she came to the limelight during her first cycle of studies, and as a soloist she regularly took part in the concerts with the complete ensemble of the Faculty of Music, with the orchestra of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet, as well as with the Macedonian Philharmony.
Kristina Palija took part in several national and international competitions where she has won several first prizes at the Balkan level. Of all the competitions in which she has participated, she singles out the participation in the international solo singing competition Montserrat Caballe which took place in 2014 in Zaragoza, Spain.
Kristina Palija has twice been awarded the "November 8" award for development and promotion of culture. She is especially proud of the silver medal she received in 2014 from the Macedonian Army.
She had her debut at the stage of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet in the role of Micaela in George Bizet’s Carmen, conducted by maestro Dorian Wilson from Germany. She has participated in numerous recitals and has performed with trio chamber orchestras in Macedonia, went on tour in Slovenia, Austria, Bulgaria. In 2017, together with the pop artist Djoko Gjorchev, she made an audio recording of the duet of Christine and the Phantom from the musical Phantom of the Opera by E.L. Weber. In 2022, she made an audio recording with the main soprano role of the premier film musical piece "Voice of the Invisible", authored by Goran Micevski. From 2016 onwards, at the invitation of the International Festival "Enterritmos" in Morocco, Kristina together with the piano accompaniment of Dr. Nevenka Dukovska as a duo "Grazioso" had the honor to be the first Macedonian ensemble to perform on stage in Morocco (Kelaa, Larache, Tetouan, Ksar El Kibir, M'dik, Rabat).
