Summary

Of particular importance to me is research on individualization of cancer therapy as this is one of the most crucial factors that affect the treatment outcome and of course the survival of cancer patients. Besides extensive knowledge in the fields of radiation biology, molecular cell biology, DNA repair and targeted tumor therapy, I have also learned during my PhD thesis to develop my own ideas and questions independently and to address them using decisive experimental approaches.
