Expo (Expeditor) Duties
1. Order Accuracy:
• Reviewed tickets to ensure orders were complete, accurate, and met quality standards.
• Communicated with kitchen staff to correct any missing or incorrect items.
2. Food Presentation:
• Ensured dishes were plated and presented according to restaurant standards.
• Garnished dishes and checked for proper temperature and portion sizes.
3. Team Coordination:
• Acted as a liaison between kitchen staff and servers to keep service running smoothly.
• Managed the flow of tickets to prioritize orders during busy periods.

Food Runner Duties
1. Delivering Food:
• Carried trays or dishes from the kitchen to guests’ tables promptly and carefully.
• Explained dishes to guests if necessary, including ingredients or special instructions.
2. Customer Interaction:
• Ensured guests had everything they needed with their meals, such as condiments or utensils.
• Addressed guest requests or relayed them to the appropriate server.
3. Maintaining Cleanliness:
• Kept the expo station and serving areas clean and organized.
• Retrieved empty plates and helped reset tables for new guests
I learned a lot at this job but the environment was toxic in my opinion and i’m in pursuit of a more professional work environment.
