
Certified development planner who has undergone rigorous project and policy planning training, graduated from a development studies (MPhil) program, and is currently researching for a Doctor of Philosophy in Urban and Regional Planning. Over the years, Pearl´s research interest has been infrastructural studies and the intertwining relations between the formal and informalised sectors in the Global South. To this point, both published and unpublished research has focused on waste management, informal water vendors and slums in urban areas in the Global South.
