• L2 Support: Providing advanced technical support for backup-related issues.
• Daily Operations: Managing backups for over 6,000 client servers daily, monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Backup Monitoring: Overseeing system backups, re-running them as necessary, and processing restore requests.
• Collaboration: Collaborated with Windows and UNIX teams to upgrade NetBackup client agents, troubleshooting client-master connectivity issues, and handling NetBackup CA/Token Management.
• Installations and Upgrades: Installing NetBackup agents on new Windows/Linux servers, upgrading master, media, client servers, and flex appliances to v10.1.1.
• Disk Pool Management: Managing Disk Pool utilization on media servers and configuring new media servers with Veritas Support.
• Troubleshooting: Resolving backup failures based on error codes and vendor tech notes, collaborating with OS and DB teams to fix backup failures and connectivity issues.
• Health Checks: Preparing daily Health-Check reports to track backup infrastructure status.
• Documentation: Documenting backup infrastructure, custom scripts/integrations, and maintaining accurate hardware/software inventory.
• Vendor Coordination: Working with software and hardware vendors to troubleshoot and resolve backup/hardware issues requiring Veritas/vendor support.
• ServiceNow Management: Handling ServiceNow tickets/requests, ensuring timely resolution and fulfilment, and monitoring tickets to close within defined SLAs.
• Restores and Media Management: Performing file system/VM restores, media management, tape recall, and tape vaulting as needed.
• Policy Management: Managing backup policies, SLPs, and adding clients to policies.
• Server Management: Commissioning and decommissioning servers.
• Automation and Team Collaboration: Leading discussions to introduce automation tools and scripts, saving time and enhancing efficiency.
• Project Management: Ensuring timely project completion without breaching SLAs.
• Agile Environment: Actively working in agile software development environment utilizing Scrum process.

• Troubleshooting and Restoration: Perform troubleshooting of failed backups and restore required data on multiple platforms with varied configurations.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with third-party vendors and technology providers to troubleshoot and perform operational activities.
• Call Management: Effectively log, monitor, update, prioritize, and resolve calls and tickets in a timely manner.
• Hardware Management: Monitor and manage physical drives, appliances, and tape libraries to ensure optimal performance.
• Data Management: Review and manage client backup data to ensure successful storage.
• Data Restorations: Perform data restorations for servers, file systems, and application data upon customer request, maintaining consistent communication with customer.
• SLA Compliance: Monitor data backup process to ensure adherence to SLA standards.
• System Management: Install and manage operating and backup systems.
• Administration and Management: Perform end-to-end administration and management using VERITAS NetBackup tools.
• Audit Support: Provide necessary documents and proofs requested by client audit team promptly.
• On-Call Management: Manage on-call rotation to ensure effective storage of backup data.
• Reporting: Create comprehensive reports for both clients and management.
• Client Collaboration: Work with clients to assess needs and implement appropriate backup protocols.
• Quality Assurance: Organize regular audits of backup configurations to ensure quality of service.
