The stem cell and cord blood lab in particular, are both ABB and JACIE accredited. I have had the opportunity to work there for 4 years which allowed me exposure to several aspects of practical, educational, and managerial work. Inclusive of:

· HPC- Apheresis, HPC-Marrow, HPC-Cord Blood, DLI, quantitation, processing, and cryopreservation

· CD34 Positive Selection

· B-cell line culturing

· Infusion of cryopreserved products

· IASIS Cord Blood computer system

· Procedural assessment and QC

· Ordering of supplies and Inventory

· Day to day operation of the bioachieve and Sepax net systems

· RBC Depletion

· Plasma Depletion

· Equipment maintenance, standardization and QC

· Ex-utero Cord blood collection.

· CFUC Preparation and quantification.

· IPP review

· Cellular Function Assays (Blastogenesis and NBT assays)

Education coordinator:

· Administered the Interns and SCDP`s (Saudi Career Development Program Participants) education and training sessions in stem cell, cord blood and cellular function.

· Managed the staff's weekly continuing educational program
