I was hired as a box truck driver until April 2024. I went to CDL school at night from December 2023 to April 2024. On April 2, 2024, I started to operate a sleeper with a 53 ft trailer, making pickups and deliveries on the East Coast. A list of the states I have picked up and delivered in: Massachusetts, Connecticut, eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. MCOMM, LLC was a small, local cable-burying business that served Delaware and Maryland as a subcontractor of Mediacom. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to preparing daily schedules for 5 or more employees so that teams worked most efficiently, prepping clients' driveways and yards for digging, using appropriate tools for placing cable wire underground while operating machinery (Ditch Witch, Waterjet) so that the least amount of disruption came to the client's yard, and bookkeeping such as recording completed daily jobs, invoices, and payroll.
