My research interests include 'modern'/contemporary Ethiopian history and historiography, 'modern'/contemporary African history and historiography, Afropessimism and Afrofuturism/African futurism, conceptual and intellectual history, critical gender and race studies, deconstruction, postcoloniality/decoloniality.
