Actuarial Audit — Reinsurance Group

• Directed comprehensive actuarial audits across multi-jurisdictional frameworks, including Solvency II, IFRS 17, German Local GAAP, Malaysia & Hong Kong RBC, Singapore IFRS 17, and reporting for Shanghai, UK, Ireland, and Bermuda branches.
• Managed audits of reinsurance reserves and financial reporting processes, covering technical provisions, BEL, risk margin, IFRS 17 fulfilment cash flows, CSM, reinsurance contract measurement, and regulatory capital.
• Evaluated sample reinsurance treaties for terms, risk transfer, contract boundaries, premium and commission frameworks, profit commissions, and commutation or termination provisions and effects on IFRS 17, Solvency II, and local reporting.
• Evaluated end-to-end actuarial and financial reporting processes and assessed the design and operating effectiveness of key controls.
• Performed cross-framework comparisons and reconciliations, identifying and explaining valuation, capital, and accounting differences in line with group methodology and local regulations.

Actuarial Audit — Insurance Group

• Directed audit procedures on key IFRS 17 areas: fulfilment cash flows, discount rates, risk adjustment, CSM, onerous contracts, reinsurance held, and disclosures.
• analyzed components of Solvency II, including BEL, Risk Margin, SCR, Internal Models, Own Funds Tiering, QRTs, SFCR, and ORSA.
• Challenged the reasonableness of actuarial assumptions (mortality, morbidity, lapse, claims, expenses, discount rates, inflation, policyholder behaviour, reinsurance recoverables) and evaluated model governance and change controls.

Advisory

• Directed IFRS 17 implementation initiatives involving methodology design, transition impact assessment, and post-implementation review.
• Performed independent model validation and benchmarking; drafted audit and management reports communicating complex actuarial issues to partners and client management.
• Supported business development through proposal writing, client presentations, and thought leadership on actuarial and regulatory topics.

• Coached junior staff and interns, reviewed their technical work, and contributed to internal training, methodology updates, and audit tool development.
